Haa.. Yesterday was the first time in my life to visit Pulau Tekong!!
10 mins ferry ride to the little small island... what greeted us was well-constructed buildings lining neatly along the shoreline.
Upon reaching, dear was separated from us to report his presence. While we were ferried around in coaches to their schools, their rooms etc.. It was exactly what the drama had shown. clean , neat and spacious room, and a messy room ( an air-conditional room that allows them to play pool n watch tv)
All was in discipline.. in order...
Next some officers briefed us on the items that were found in their bags..All were neatly displayed on the board. It seem like there were more than 50 items found in their bags.
After taking a short break in their canteen to let us know what other kinds of food was offered in the canteen ( there isn't much food selling there, only 3-4 stores), we were brought into an auditorium, where the "principal" of the school will brief us on their daily schedule, their visions, what the recruits will achieve at the end of this 3-mths basic training and their assurance that their sons will be well-taken of.
Shortly after, the recruits were asked to give their pledge.
Lastly, we will have lunch with them. We had a taste of the food that they 'll have for the next 3 mths.. Seriously speaking, it doesnt really taste tt good except for the fried chicken. The brocolli was flimsy and the mashed potato tasted like med!! lol =P
Thought we didnt meet up often, I still kind of miss him. cant talk to him as and when i like...
can only receive his sms once a day!! =(
but still will be looking forward to 28 sept! =D
