Like I told some of u about my job search, I had gone for 2 interviews on the same day. Both are financial consultancy firms. Both asked basically the same questions and I repeated my ans for these similar questions. Both place emphasis on high income earned, flexibility in time, many overseas trips, recognition in work. However, through the second one, I came to understand more about this line after attending its career talk. I think it is really memorable,inspiring and eye-opening that I had lots of laughters, met my fellow uni mates and make new friends with other uni friends. We share our ideas and doubts during toilet breaks and after the session. It's really glad that you are not the only one that is skeptical about being in this line. However, it is no doubt that financial services industry is indeed booming after hearing from not 2 firms but 3. Even my financial advisor is calling me up to ask for an appointment to let me understand more about this line.
Of course, I do not meant that this line is entirely not promising regardless of whether u are veteran in this line or just a fresh graduate, I believe it is very much your own will to do well, to work hard..If you have strong will power, you can succeed in whatever you do!

This article is basically talking about this year class of 2008 will have a higher starting pay than last year, giving the annual %increase in starting pay for different majors. It is a surprise to me that economics is ranked top in its starting pay among all art and social science majors and third to engineering and computer science majors. However, there are certain flaws in this article. It did not clearly state the target country of the research, though it may be seemed obvious to think that it is based on US market. It also did not mention how did they arrive the conclusion from the research.
So... It's up to you whether to believe anot.
